I’ve been on this weight loss program for six weeks and I’ve lost 25 lbs. So far, I feel so energetic and full of life. I am starting to feel the weight loss. I have learned a lot about healthy eating, it’s amazing how I am actually eating more now and losing weight as well. This program is not about starving yourself it’s all about education on what is good and healthy for you to eat…I thank BISON TRANSPORT for giving me the opportunity to go on this program!
Time has gone by so fast; it’s hard to imagine that it’s been 7 weeks since we started.
What I’ve gotten from this program so far is – At times I still find it hard to believe how much emphasis is put on the mental training and visualization. This has been a big surprise from other “diet” programs. It has also made a big difference in achieving my weight loss. I feel better, more confident, have more energy than I’ve had in years and am less stressed about day to day challenges.
I was happy to have lost 13 pounds the first week and now that I have lost almost 20 pounds I feel I am definitely on my way to better health.
Following the Lindora diet has ensured that I never feel too hungry, as it calls for 6 small meals per day, instead of my usual 3 large. The diet is certainly an important part of this weight loss program but I feel that it definitely requires an exercise component to really make an impact. For me, that has been walking. I have been trying to walk for at least an hour every day, mostly with my 15 yr. old son, who has also lost 7 pounds. I can already walk much further without fatigue than I could even 2 weeks ago. The best effect that walking has had is that I am off my blood pressure medication, and my blood pressure has been normal without medication for the first time in over 3 years. I also feel more alert and energetic!
The program is extremely easy to follow. I always thought weight loss programs were all about the food but Lindora teaches it’s also about a new way of thinking. Lindora has a solution for every obstacle that I might come up against.
Diets (I hate the word) never work! I started this program with hesitation, and quickly learned it’s not a diet. It’s a lifestyle change; mind and body. Once you start to really think about the program, you realize change can happen.
I am very excited and thankful to be chosen to participate in the Truckers Weight Loss challenge. I have been on and off diets most of my life and am looking forward to this program which is designed to teach and reinforce healthy eating habits along with physical activity to not only lose weight, but keep it off for life. I knew very little about reading labels and how many carbohydrates were found in different food items. I find that I am not hungry on the plan and many cravings have been suppressed or eliminated. The on line information and calls / emails from the Lindora coaching staff are helpful as well as the support of co-workers. I look forward to more energy, better health and continued weight loss!
I’m pleased again to be part of the Lean for Life Program that Bison Transport has enrolled me in. I have made a few goals since starting the program, such as getting down to a specific weight and being healthy. As each day goes by I weigh myself at the same time of day and dressed the same. Some days I don’t see any difference but in a couple it’s changed and makes me feel better to know I have lost this amount in this amount of time. I’m looking forward in life to being healthy, and waiting to be able to go out and do the different activities that I did when I was in good health. I just keep reminding myself of what that will feel like. There are some days I want to stray off my plan but with all my support I get they keep me going the right way. Between the Lindora coaches Bison personal, and my Family support every one has been a lot of help and support, I wish to thank them all. A Special Thanks to All These People!!
Losing the weight is the part I enjoy the most. Trying to find different ways to eat lettuce is another. It’s nice to feel more energetic and not so lethargic all the time and having the support of the other people on this program is a great help.
One of the goals that I set for myself was to get my Diabetes under control and I did it. I do not have to take insulin any longer, my sugar levels are where they should be and I feel great. I look forward to what the next half of this program brings.
This has been a great experience. I am enjoying the food choices we are allowed to have. The program has given me more energy and I feel like I have taken control of my life. It’s funny how I am constantly looking at labels and realized how much Carbs, Fat etc are in products. I can’t wait to see what the next few weeks have in store for me!
I am amazed how quickly my body has adapted to this program. I assumed my downfall would be my cravings for sugar, which has negatively affected all previous weight loss attempts. Amazingly, I don’t have any cravings and I’m not hungry. I have more energy and I have reduced my caffeine intake. I am confident I will be able to continue with the program until I reach a healthy weight, and then begin the maintenance phase. It doesn’t feel like I’m dieting. I could see and feel the difference almost immediately. That’s motivation enough to continue.
It’s been a real eye-opener to be part of this weight-loss challenge. I find it interesting to reflect back to the beginning of this program. My motivation at the start was simple – I would lose some weight. I was concerned that I had simply gained too much over the years and I had high blood pressure. I also had returned to being a smoker, after having quit for 3 years previously, I had been smoking again for almost a year. I heard about this weight-loss challenge and thought it was time I straightened up my act. So I quit smoking on January 14th, signed up for the weight-loss challenge, and began this diet on January 24th. Now, approximately 40 days later, I am down 29 lbs. and still do not smoke. I feel GREAT! The benefits to me have far outweighed any of my expectations.
Weight loss: yes
Waist size: decreased
Blood pressure: normal (off medication completely)
Family life: improved
I really thought it would be very hard and that it would be an enormous struggle. Some people will tell you that if you quit smoking, you will gain weight, not lose it. I am living proof that it does not have to be that way – I have now lost 29 pounds, or about ¾ of a pound a day!
Am I starving? No, this program ensures that although there are hunger-pangs, we don’t have to suffer them for very long before we are allowed a snack or a meal. The best thing is, I know now what is required to get to a healthy weight and I am not afraid, because it is not hard to do. There will be another learning curve to learn how to maintain a healthy weight once the “diet” is over, but just like we have been taught what to do to lose weight; we are learning what is necessary to maintain a healthy weight/lifestyle as well. One of my assumptions was that it would be very difficult to make healthy choices when eating out with friends – I have found this is not the case; I had simply been making excuses.
Anyway, I imagine a lot of people who just want to lose a few pounds are wondering what the secret to our diet really is. Of course we were given a lengthy book and DVD’s, etc. that explains everything about it and provides a great deal of motivation as well. But since no one should ever start a special diet without medical advice or supervision, I can’t really even tell you the Reader’s Digest condensed version, but here are a few tips that are part of it and have really helped me:
1. Do not drink your calories – juices and pop have enormous amounts of calories! Instead, drink at least 80 oz. of water a day. Use Crystal Light or diet drinks only when absolutely necessary – they are chemicals and are NOT healthy.
2. READ every nutritional label. Look for products that are low in calories, high in protein, low in carbs, and low in sugar and fats whenever possible.
WOW! That’s all I can say. In 5 weeks I have lost 22 lbs and I am in shock. I never thought I could do it and feel this great. It’s been a long time since I have been this excited about weight loss. It’s been great seeing everyone’s achievements on this program so far and also a great motivator. I use to hate to do the weekly weigh in, now I can’t wait to get on that scale. The program is really easy to follow and I love the protein days (usually do on the weekends). I have made a weight loss bucket list. On this bucket list I have wrote down all the things I want to accomplish with this weight loss. As I accomplish those goals, I am crossing them off. I am excited to see how much of those goals I will have crossed off at the end of this journey.
Half way mark!!!! Hooray!!!! I can honestly say that this program has given me a different insight into the challenge of losing weight. It has opened my eyes to see that there is more to it than just food and exercise…it is a mind/lifestyle that needs to be adapted. You need to realize that weight is just part of the issue. You have to adapt your mindset and change your life from a “I don’t want to” to “I am going to give it an honest shot”. By thinking this way I am feeling more energized, feeling more content and most of all feeling a lot better about the way my clothing is starting to feel on my body.
Wow, been almost 7 weeks feels like we just stated this plan is very easy to follow and the mental techniques really help. Have more energy now than i have had in 20 years able to play with grandkids and really enjoy having them around. Three things i have personally got from this program so far are health, happiness and wealth. Health lost weight able to move more and feel better. Happiness stress less take time for myself now and feel better. Wealth strange thing to get from a diet. We are saving money on not going to restaurants, waste less food, and I am off my high blood pressure pills.
I am very excited to have lost 10% of my goal weight. I feel so much better and have a lot more energy. I can actually play with my grandchildren now. I eat properly and not in excess and can see myself doing this all the time. My family has seen a change in my attitude as well. I am so happy that I made the choice to take this challenge. And appreciate the opportunity that Bison Transport has given me.
